Larry Stewart Is Nothing But Net

After a three year absence, the Vince Gill Celebrity Basketball Game returned to Belmont University tonight with country stars putting down the mics and guitars and putting on their game faces. Right in the thick of it all was our own Larry Stewart, playing on Vince’s team and making numerous shots that helped his team win the game. Afterwards, Larry took the stage with buddy Vince and the boys from Rascal Flatts to perform “I’ll Still Be Loving You.” Check the gallery for images from the game and concert.

Gill Recruits Restless Heart’s Stewart Today

If you see country music stars buying new athletic shoes this weekend, they’re probably getting ready for Vince Gill’s celebrity basketball game and concert. Now in its 12th year, the fundraiser takes place Monday (March 22) at Nashville’s Belmont University. Chely Wright, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Chalee Tennison and newcomer Julie Roberts are the latest artists added to the event. Others confirmed include Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Cledus T. Judd, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Jimmy Wayne, Matthew West, Trini Triggs and Steve Holy. Representing their respective bands will be Lonestar’s Dean Sams, Emerson Drive’s Brad Mates, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson, Restless Heart’s Larry Stewart and Trick Pony’s Keith Burns and Ira Dean. Tennessee Titans Keith Bulluck and Frank Wycheck and former teammate Neil O’Donnell will also appear at the event that raises money for music and athletic scholarships at Belmont.

The Band Performs at CRS

Last week, country radio reps from across the country came to Nashville for the annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS). CRS gives record labels a chance to showcase their new artists and Restless Heart was right in the thick of it all performing a special showcase debuting new material and highlighting their past.
