The charity auction held in conjunction with the Triple Threat performance in Spokane on Sunday, September 14th raised nearly $3,000 for the Van Stephenson Memorial Cancer Research Fund.  Members of all 3 groups– Restless Heart, Blackhawk and Little Texas— donated personal items and rare memorabilia to help raise funds for this worthy cause.  According to Blackhawk’s Henry Paul, on stage before the show–each year, a donation is made to cancer research in honor of Van Stephenson’s memory.  Van was a founding member of Blackhawk and a cherished friend to members of all 3 groups.  The next fundraising event is the 3rd Annual Dinner with Blackhawk in Medina, MN, planned for November 14th.  For additional information, log on to www.blackhawkfans.com.
