Big Iron Horses, one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

Is the song “Big Iron Horses” a true story of anyone in the band or of its writers? It is an awesome song and brings a tear to the eye when I hear it. My grandpa died shortly before I was born but he was a railroad man for 40 years. I feel like this song connects me to a place in time that I never was. Thanks guys!

Great album. I lost my copy in a breakup. Please make it available on MP3.

John, I believe there were 2 versions of this album. The first version had songs not found on the later version, because they were replaced with the song Tell Me What You Dream on the second version. Would love to see a CD reissue combining both versions to put the complete sessions together.
