The Boys are Back in Town

Restless Heart will return to the Branson stage from March 16^th-28^th, when they headline at the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre, once again. As they settle in and call this beautiful theatre “home” for two weeks, you never know what you might see or hear. Each show will, no doubt, be unique. These will be full concert performances.

Come Together Now- Help for Haiti

“Come Together Now (Music City Unites for Haiti)”, the brainchild of Contemporary Christian artist, Michael W. Smith, who wrote the song with David Mullen and Cindy Morgan, is now available for purchase and download on iTunes and Amazon. Spurred by the 7.0 earthquake that hit the island nation on January 12th, the song was written on January 15th and picked up momentum from there. Two short weeks later, the day began with a choir of 250 children from New Hope Academy in Nashville and ended with a choir of over 100 (adult) artists from various genres of music joining voices. Among the talent roster were The Oak Ridge Boys, Point of Grace, Casting Crowns, Restless Heart, Wynonna Judd, Matt Maher and Donovan Tea of The Lettermen. Voices also added were Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Lee Greenwood, Toby Mac and Stephen Curtis Chapman.

With everything donated for the project, 100% of all funds raised will go to Samaritan’s Purse and the American Red Cross to aid in the relief efforts in Haiti.

Valentine’s Day at The Opry

Restless Heart will continue what seems to have become an unofficial Valentine tradition when they appear at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night, before leaving for weekend shows in Iowa and Minnesota.

Country Crossing Grand Opening

Restless Heart, along with numerous other artists, helped kick off grand opening festivities at Country Crossing in Dothan, AL on Friday, January 15th. Beginning late afternoon and continuing past 1 AM, others onstage for day one of the 3 day event included Neal McCoy, Confederate Railroad, Aaron Tippen and Little Texas.

Representatives from media outlets as far away as Nashville broadcast from Country Crossing throughout the weekend. Some of those present included Brad Schmidt from Nashville News Channel 2 (pictured), Storme Warren and Charla McCoy. The show was streamed live on the internet and will also be a future TV special. Clips for an “America the Beautiful” special for Fox were also filmed with various artists, including Restless Heart, throughout the night.

The doors to Country Crossing opened on December 1, 2009 with several restaurants and a Bingo Pavillion. Plans and construction are ongoing, and also include a Bed and Breakfast and outdoor amphitheatre at present, with much more to follow. A short distance from Branson, as well as the sandy beaches of Florida, expectations are high for this new tourist and music lovers’ destination.

Ringing in the New Year

Sharing New Year’s Eve with a sold out house in Wendover, NV, the chill in the air will quickly be dispelled as Restless Heart takes the stage and starts the party that concert-goers will continue into 2010.

Restless Heart has become a favorite at the Peppermill Concert Hall, as evidenced by this solo engagement, having previously shared the stage as part of the Triple Threat Tour.

Halloween Tradition?

Performing at the Grand Ole Opry on Halloween has almost become as much of a tradition for Restless Heart as performing on Valentine’s Day. The most recent visit included guest artist, Jim Ed Brown (pictured here, as “the gorilla”) performing before Restless Heart. Drummer John Dittrich was on the opposite side of the stage during this photo op.
